Two weeks ago Resolution let us know via Twitter that The BOX was the 2014 Resolution Awards Best Desk-Controller Award winner. While we always are flattered by an industry award, and take a bow to the audio community in general, this time we got thrown by the award category — The BOX is not a controller! — it's a 20 channel analog summing mixer with 4-input channel strips. It does fit on a desk, however, and contains the same quality center section as the 'big dog' API consoles that have been helping make the hits for over 45 years now. Thanks to the readers of Resolution who both nominated and chose the winners of the awards.
