This year's AES convention was really an exciting time for us. Not only did we announce Studio 270's decision to purchase a Legacy Plus with Vision automation, but we were also able to reveal the rebirth of Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands! API and fellow sponsors Avid/Euphonix, Eggleston Works, PMC, Prism Sound and SPL have worked with Ronald Prent, Wisseloord Studios' creative managing director, and Paul Reynolds, commercial managing director, to help bring the historic studio back to life. As Ronald was a big part of the development of the first Vision console (delivered to Galaxy Studios in Belgium), we are thrilled to be supplying a 64-channel Vision for the studio anchor at Wisseloord. Seeing as the studio will continue with its original emphasis on the power of music, we're eagerly looking forward to hearing the projects that come from the facility. Plans call for Wisseloord Studios to reopen June 1, 2011.
