This week we announce the winners of our eighth annual Visionary Scholarship. Students from around the world submitted their applications, which consisted of original music samples they worked on as producers or engineers, as well as written production details and essays. Any student who attends an educational facility with an API 1608, Legacy, Legacy Plus or Vision console is eligible to apply for this award.
API President Larry Droppa decided to award these students with scholarships to assist in their audio education. This year's winners are Justin Rhody, Anthony Soto, and Gibran Sponchiado; each awarded $2,000 for their outstanding submissions. Winners are encouraged to contact API for details. You can find out more about the scholarship on our site or in the press release on the subject. Look for further information regarding the Visionary scholars, and thanks to all who submitted an application.
