Piano concertos aren't exactly expected on a rock album, but singer-songwriter Ben Folds has never done what's expected for any given genre. Ben owns the historic Grand Victor Sound (formerly RCA Studio A), which was built specifically for orchestral recording. After acquiring the space, he immediately installed a 1976 API 3232 console. While Ben is well-known for his musical talent, especially on the piano, "So There" will be his first album with large-scale orchestral music. Ben collaborated with six-piece band yMusic for the project, and they feature on eight of the included tracks.
