2016 marks the ninth year that API will give back to the Audio Community by offering the annual Visionary Scholarship. Students qualify by attending higher education facilities (including high schools) that feature 1608, Vision, Legacy or Legacy Plus consoles. Previous years have seen applications from around the world which demonstrated a high level of skill and a deep understanding of analog recording. Applicants must send a physical copy of all required materials to API by the April deadline detailed below and on the API website.
Says API President Larry Droppa: "Every year we hear new and exciting work from students learning on API consoles. We expect this year's submissions will continue on this upward trend of outstanding workmanship. Good luck to all and we look forward to hearing the best of your audio projects."
2016's Visionary Scholarship opened for submissions on January 1st, 2016. Submissions will be accepted until April 1st, 2016, and winners will be announced by June 30th, 2016.
