API President Larry Droppa and Director of Sales Dan Zimbelman recently traveled to Tokyo for the grand opening of the new Studio Tanta. The state-of-the-art Studio Tanta is located in the Shibuya area of Tokyo, and its Studio A space is home to a 48 channel fully-fitted Legacy AXS console, while Studio B features a 32 channel automated 1608 console. Renowned Producer and Engineer, and friend of API, Ron Saint Germain attended Tanta's grand opening to provide demos of the AXS console. Demos and lectures were translated by Engineer Goh Hotada.
The studio has been in planning and construction for over three years, and is now complete with seven stories containing spaces for rehearsal and performance, high end dining and more. Tanta is close to Japan's National public broadcasting organization NHK, which is home to two API Vision consoles.
API is excited to continue to expand its console representation in Japan. The sale of the two consoles was completed through API's exclusive Japanese Distributor Mix Wave, headed by Mr. Hiro Saika.
