API would once again like to express our appreciation to the Recording AcademyTM and the GRAMMY® Awards for recognizing the remarkable contributions and innovations of the great Saul Walker with the 2019 Recording Academy Technical GRAMMY Award. While the announcement of the award appeared in the GRAMMY souvenir book at the GRAMMY's Feb 10 ceremony, a formal Recording Academy award ceremony on will be held in May acknowledging Mr. Walker's many achievements in the professional audio industry. All of us here at API remember Saul — as do his many friends, students, colleagues and customers — as an exceptionally brilliant, kind and gifted man, and he continues to be very much missed.
