May 2019; Jessup, MD:
Pinch Recording has commissioned a fully-loaded, automated 32 channel 2448 console at their New York City studio space. Pinch Recording is the first studio in NYC to purchase and install a 2448 console, with the sale facilitated by Jeff Leibovich of Vintage King.
"The new API 2448 console does not disappoint," says studio owner and Engineer Scott Lindner. "The console provides exactly what you are after with API products—punchy low end and a beautiful, smooth texture that wraps you up in a warm sonic blanket of goodness. It provides such routing flexibility with the 8 busses, 4 stereo returns, and small fader paths that it is the perfect console for the modern age."
API President Larry Droppa adds, "As a company, API is gratified by the continuing success of the 2448 console. Commercial studios like Pinch Recording deserve the best in analog gear and API is happy to provide it."
