Source Distribution celebrates its recent appointment as the API distributor for the UK and Ireland by holding a combined press and VIP event at Mark Knopfler's spectacular British Grove Studios in London.
Joining the Source team were API President Larry Droppa, Director of Sales Dan Zimbelman and Director of Engineering Jeffrey Bork — all of whom flew in from the USA especially for the event to treat the assembled audience of press and dealers to a short presentation covering the company history of API, its product development (and that of its subsidiary brand JDK) and an impressively long list of high profile users around the world. Additionally Droppa unveiled the release of two new JDK 500 series modular products — the V10 Microphone Preamplifier and the V12 Compressor.
Source's Director of Distributed Brands Howard Jones also took the opportunity to introduce new Pro Audio Product Specialist Andy Bensley, who has joined the Source team to promote API products and Source's other high end brands by offering a one-to-one demo service for both dealers and end users. Having installed a comprehensive API demo system in the live area of the studio, Bensley then took the opportunity to demonstrate the API 1608 console, 500 series modules and outboard products to visitors.
"The day was a huge success and just confirmed the reason we chose Source as a distribution partner," continued API's Droppa. "To fill one of London's premier studios with the cream of the UK recording industry is not an easy task, but Source has the connections and the marketing nous to pull it off. It's exactly that kind of proactive approach that we're looking for, and we're delighted with our choice of new distributor."
