Studio du Hameau: A French API Love Story

API was recently noted for the world-renowned 1608 in the French magazine, KR Home Studio. The article, Studio du Hameau: les charmes du residential, roughly translates to Studio Hamlet: The Charms of Residential and features a large picture of the coveted API 1608 console with a 16-channel expander. The studio is located about 200 km from Paris in a remote area between La Ferte Bernard and Belleme and is defined as part studio, part showroom with a "modern and rustic, contemporary and vintage feel." Studio owner, Sergei Balmayer began building his masterpiece in 2004 and has since recorded a number of records, from indie projects to platinum-selling albums. Averaging about 20 artists per year, clients include Izia (specifically, So Much Trouble with Sebastien Hoog), Zaz, Camille, and Jeanne Cherhal. When choosing a console, Sergei knew the importance of analog. "[I chose an API 1608, (I) was the first studio to put a commercial operation in France.]" He plans to build a second studio in the future and will also use an API 1608.
