The summer 2012 KISS & Mötley Crüe tour used six API 512c preamps for vocals, evidenced in the 500VPR rack picture above. That's right! Paul Stanley (guitar) and Gene Simmons (vocals) names are clearly listed above the API logo. "The band and I agreed that they were the best sounding vocals they have ever had," says Dan Horton, Monitor Engineer for KISS, of the 512c's used on the tour.
