Alternative pop/ rock band, Paramore, will be releasing a self-titled album this month that was recorded on vintage API gear. Producer/ musician Justin Meldal-Johnson, also known as JMJ, recorded in LA with engineer Carlos de la Garza at Sunset Sound's historic Studio 3. Artists such as The Wallflowers, New Found Glory and Yellowcard have also recorded in Studio 3, but the most famed work is from Prince, where he recorded Purple Rain. Sunset studio is equipped with a custom API- De Medio console. From there, things were taken to Dangerbird Studio where the control room boasts the increasingly popular API 1608 console. The self-titled album comes three and a half years after the popular Brand New Eyes and will be released this month on the Fueled By Ramen label.
