Stevie Wonder Visits API Booth at NAMM

Legendary artist and musician Stevie Wonder made a point of stopping by the API booth at the recent NAMM show in Anaheim, CA. While his interest in the show is largely finding out what's new in the world of keyboards and music-making hardware and software, Wonder steered his entourage to the API booth to say hello to his long-time in-ear monitor engineer, API owner and president Larry Droppa. Over a span of 12 years, Droppa provided the mix to Stevie's ears for every live show he performed around the world. Interestingly, in that few-degrees-of-separation phenomena, Stevie's early albums were tracked on API consoles — long before Droppa owned the company.
