Earlier this month, we received notice that API was nominated for not one but three NAMM TEC awards. This took us by surprise; not because of the nomination itself or the volume of nominations, but the actual category for which we were nominated: The BOX is currently up for outstanding technical achievement in Large Format Console Technology. Now, we consider The BOX to be a small console—but when stacked next to a Vision or a Legacy, what isn't? We suspect this nomination has more to do with the fact that The BOX can produce the same great-sounding tracks as its much larger siblings without taking up so much space.

Additionally, API was nominated for outstanding technical achievement in the categories of Ancillary Equipment for the 505 DI Module, and Signal Processing Hardware -500 Series Modules for the 565 Filter Bank.

Winners will be announced in January at the NAMM show.
