A Swing and a Hit at NERF Tournament 2011!

API has returned from the 14th Annual Audio Masters benefit golf tournament held May 26th and 27th and we had a fantastic time! The tournament, held by AES's Nashville Engineer Relief Fund (NERF), takes place each year to raise funds for local engineers experiencing medical and other hardships. In our fourth appearance at the golf outing, we again sponsored hole #16 and provided passing golfers with an Eastern Shore/Mid-Atlantic specialty — Oysters... three ways! API's Director of Sales Dan Zimbelman, Salesman Mark Seman and President Larry Droppa served oysters on the half shell, oyster shooters and oyster po' boys made with fresh Leidenheimer bread from New Orleans.

The golf outing also gave players a chance to win some API gear. Thursday night's lucky raffle winner of a JDK R20 dual mic preamp was Jackie Peterson, daughter of award-winning engineer, producer and mixer John Jaszcz (pronounced "Yosh"), who accepted the module on Jackie's behalf. We hope she lets him use it occasionally!

Our second-day winner was Thomas Johnson, engineer and Imagine Audio Video employee. Thomas walked away with an API lunchbox® loaded with a 512c mic preamp and a 527 compressor.

Congrats to both our winners and thanks to everyone in NERF for making the 2011 golf tournament a time to remember. We hope to see you all again in 2012!
