Historic Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands threw a grand re-opening bash March 25. The party featured performances by Ilse de Lange, Wisseloord's house band The Dudes and Ricardo Burgrust. Along with Dan Zimbelman, API Director of Sales and Marketing and Gordon Smart, API Managing Director, producers, engineers and musicians from around the globe dropped in to wish Wisseloord great success and admire the studio's new 48 channel API Vision console.
The Vision enables Wisseloord clients to mix in stereo and surround sound. Wisseloord integrated API's Vision into an array of analog and digital equipment from industry-leading manufacturers. The wealth of options Wisseloord's artists will enjoy showcases the re-opened studio's devotion to forward-thinking and rich tradition.
"This facility sets a new world standard," said Zimbelman.
Wisseloord announced in 2010 plans to restore the studio to its former glory. Since its inception in 1978, Wisseloord has played host to legendary stars, completing projects for performers such as Elton John, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Tina Turner and U2.
