Jessup, Maryland - Sept. 2010:
For more than 40 years, Japan has enjoyed a high demand for API's analog gear — both recording consoles and modules. This month shows no exception, as API has just sold its third 1608 into Japan in less than two years, adding to a number of API Legacy Plus consoles that already reside within the country.
"The Japanese market is a critical component of API's success in the Asia Pacific," said Dan Zimbelman, director of sales at API. "The Asia Pacific Media Group (APMG) is serving as our exclusive representation there, including India and all of Southeast Asia. APMG will also represent API's new line of recording equipment, JDK Audio."
Earlier this year, Hide Suzuki, director of MixWave, API's Japanese distributor, said, "API manufactures the best analog equipment in the world and has been doing so for decades. The industry's renewed interest in imparting an analog sound on digital recordings keeps heightening the interest in API."
