API: for more than just music

Sound designer and YouTube sensation Diego Stocco has let us in on something really cool: he's been using all API equipment to capture the unique sounds he uses in his projects, including the new DTS sound signature! For the DTS project, Diego specifically used a 10-slot lunchbox® filled with four 512c preamps, two 550b EQs and four 527 compressors to record the sounds of water balloons being burst by a golf club and lentils and barley being dropped and swirled around in milk. According to Diego, his 527s were particularly helpful catching the milk and lentil concoction's "deep" sound.
