API was recently awarded a trademark for the term THRUST® from the United States Patent and Trademark office. While the technology behind the THRUST circuitry was already patented, our new trademark gives API the exclusive right to use and identify the term solely as our own. THRUST can be found on the 2500 Stereo Bus Compressor, the 527 Discrete 500-Series Compressor as well as on the R22 Dual-Channel Compressor by JDK Audio. As current owners already know, the THRUST technology allows for a chest-hitting, punchy bottom end without compromising overall sound quality. We figured it was pretty cool when we received a patent on the circuit a few years ago, and now with the trademark, we're excited that both the method and the name identify the technology as API's own.
