Friends, Family and Colleagues Remember the Great Saul Walker

On Sunday February 12, New York University's Kimmel Center for University Life held a memorial service to honor the life and legacy of Saul Walker. Mr. Walker is remembered not only as the Co-Founder of API, but also as an accomplished Engineer who lent his brilliance to several institutions and shared his passion for audio through teaching. Mr. Walker served as an Adjunct Professor of Music Technology at NYU for 10 years and lectured at several universities around the world. He was honored with an Audio Engineering Society Fellowship Award in 1979 and an AES Silver Medal Award in 2011.

Those close to Mr. Walker spoke of him with a great reverence and admiration, and shared stories and memories of his kindness, talent, creativity and enthusiasm for life. A true visionary who always inspired those around him, Mr. Walker not only had profound impact on the lives of many individuals, but also the pro audio industry itself.
