API is back from another successful AES Show in New York. The booth was busy throughout the show as guests demoed gear on display (including the 1608 and BOX consoles, as well as the TranZformer Series) and talked with members of the API team. A huge draw for API's booth was the 32 channel Legacy AXS console on display courtesy of Byron and James Kelley at Wire Road Studios in Houston, TX. The console was sent to Wire Road for commissioning immediately following the show.
James Kelley, Owner and President of Wire Road, said, "We have been considering a large format console for Studio A for some time. The flexibility of the new AXS coupled with API's history drove our decision. Many of our clients have already expressed excitement about bringing the API sound to our facility and we believe the AXS will allow us to take another step in building national recognition for Wire Road Studios."
We'd like to thank James and Byron for generously lending their AXS to the AES show, where many people were able to see the new console for the first time.
