Carrie Underwood's recently released 2018 album Cry Pretty marked the singer's first time Co-Producing her work. She and Producer/Engineer/musician David Garcia met and began collaborating on Underwood's songwriting, eventually taking their partnership to the studio to co-produce the album. The studio in question? Zac Brown's Southern Ground Nashville, which is home to a 48-channel API Legacy Plus console. According to Mix magazine, "The big open room was appealing, as was the API console and the relaxed control room space. Everybody liked the vibe and comfort."
Other artists who've recorded on API at Southern Ground Nashville include Blake Shelton, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson, among many others.
