Digiland SRL, API's official Italian distributor, has purchased an automated 16-channel 1608-II for demonstration at their Padua headquarters in Italy. Since its debut at last year's AES Show the 1608-II has made quite a splash in the pro audio industry, and now the Italian market can get some hands-on experience with the wildly successful new console.
