A 32 channel API 2448 Console has been commissioned for The Studios at Linden Oaks in Rochester, NY. This recording facility hosts clients from world-renowned recording artists and commercial clientele like General Motors, HBO and NBC, to recording projects for faculty and students of the Eastman School of Music. Steve Forney, the Chief Engineer/Studio Manager at Linden Oaks was in search of a console that would suit their many sonic needs.
"For the past 10 years, our facility has been using a 32 fader DAW control surface, along with a smaller analog console. It was a great 'hybrid' system for some projects, but a real challenge for tracking larger ensembles with live players," says Forney. "Our 32 channel API 2448 solves that challenge with in-line signal path architecture, excellent routing flexibility, DAW control, automation and of course, legendary API sound. I was immediately impressed with not only the 'big board' feel and unmistakable API sound, but also the value. We couldn't be happier with our choice of the 32 channel 2448."
