Vintage API at Addiction Sound Studios in Nashville

This 1973 custom 40 channel 3224 console was originally built for music legend Leon Russell's home studio in Tulsa, OK.

According to interviews, while on tour in 1974, Tom Petty recorded the first Mudcrutch single on this console before moving to Los Angeles and forming The Heartbreakers.

If a console could speak, we're sure this one would have many a story to tell as Russell commonly played host to a veritable who's who of rock history, including Bob Dylan, Elton John, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and countless others.

Now fully restored, this one-of-a-kind API console is the flavor of choice for its new owner and custodian, @ethan.barrette of @addictionsound in Nashville.
