Following in the footsteps of the now-trademarked lunchbox®, API's patented THRUST® technology has received a trademark from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Granted the same day as the lunchbox trademark, the THRUST trademark gives API the exclusive right to both use and identify the term solely as its own. THRUST technology is found on API's 2500 Stereo Bus Compressor and 527 Discrete 500 Series Compressor, as well as the R22 Dual-Channel Compressor by JDK Audio, API's newest line of audio equipment.

"As owners of the 2500 and 527 already know, THRUST technology produces a chest-hitting, punchy bottom end without compromising overall sound quality," said Larry Droppa, API President. "We were certainly thrilled when we received a patent on the circuit a few years ago, and now with the trademark, both the method and the name identify the technology as belonging to API."
